This education will be mediated through the guided use of books (i.e. Black, Pregnant & Loving It), review and discussion of infographics, short videos, on site presentations (i.e. Ob/Gyn discussions, healthy cooking lessons) and our I Got You Program. See video about the I Got You Program. These are a few examples of the activities that 3 Times As Many, Inc. will execute to help women stay informed and optimize the role they play in their own health and well-being.

Direct support for NON pregnant women
3 Times As Many, Inc. employees, consultants and/or volunteers will provide culturally sensitive information about behaviors that promote reproductive health prior to pregnancy, to vulnerable birthing individuals, at clinical and social service organizations that provide health and well being support programs.
It is vitally important to educate all reproductively capable individuals on an ongoing basis to identify potential maternal and fetal risks and hazards to pregnancy before and between pregnancies. The validity of the need to educate all reproductively capable women, rests solely on the fact that nearly half of all pregnancies in the United States are unintended, making preconception care a challenge. Consequently, all participating women in their childbearing years will be the beneficiaries of an education using books, short videos and a series of workshops and seminars on the following topics:
My Healthy Body
Managing Your Diabetes - Helping women understand how glycemic control prior to pregnancy can help prevent future growth problems in their unborn babies.
Managing Your Weight – An inclusive study of food – the good, the bad and the reality, weight gain, weight loss and exercise.
Managing Your High Blood Pressure – Basic routines for monitoring and reducing high blood pressure.
My Healthy Mind
Presentations about how stress wreaks havoc on our bodies, with practical solutions for stress reduction activities. Practical support will target behaviors of change and the creation of realistic plans for financial independence and the attainment of personal satisfaction and control of one’s life.
Managing Financial Stress
Managing Relationship Stress
Managing Racial Stress
This activity is in direct alignment with our exempt purpose to support and promote the health of disadvantaged women and their families before, during and after pregnancy.
